Trusting your team is important, but don’t be too trusting. Trust, but verify.

Thoughts on the PTOTD

Investing too much into trust in your team is bad. You must learn to keep your team on their toes. If they become complacent, they’ll end up being inefficient. This is specially true if the team doesn’t have any strong internal competition.

  1. Your team is an important source of features. Pay attention to their inputs.
  2. You’re not bad at a particular thing. You are new to it. Practice and you’ll get good.
  3. Getting better at estimation is for your team to achieve. The work will take the same amount of time – witth or without the estimates
