Thoughts on the PTOTD

PMing is a thankless job. Be prepared to spend long nights to write up requirements only for the team to say, ehh… no we won’t do it.
You are not an empowered individual amongst common people. You are a common person amongst empowered people and you have to shephard them in the right direction.

You may also like

  1. Preemptively play out scenarios in your head before you go into a meeting
  2. It is OK to be wrong – especially early in your career. Learn from being wrong – both as a cause & effect as well as the network effect.
  3. Do not confuse Customer requirements for Product requirements.
  4. Trusting your team is important, but don’t be too trusting. Trust, but verify.
